My name is David Ovenden, Managing Director of Descripta. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts as well as a member of a number of professional photographic bodies including the Royal Photographic Society and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.

I have just completed a photoshoot for the Mouille 2010 collection.
The items all had to be shot on a white background for the online catalogue. Not as much fun as shooting with a model but challenging nevertheless. It is quite difficult to get items which are essentially three dimensional onto a flat surface. A certain amount of 'volume' is needed to avoid too many creases and things like linings and fasteners show when they shouldn't.
There were some beautiful items. I particularly liked Multi Plumes which had feathery cutouts.
Now I have to work on the website to get the images into the right place and in the slideshows we have set up.
I recently took profile pictures for the Fraud Advisory Panel's Annual Review. They also wanted one of me as I manage their website and their membership database! I was able to do this with the aid of my remote control.
Latest shoot: Broadway to West End, a musical tribute to William David Brohn at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane in aid of Click Sargent Children's Cancer Charity.
